WARDSBORO — Kevin Burke is the artist of the month at the Wardsboro Public Library for the months of February and March. Burke works in drawing, sculpture and electronic arts. Over the years he has shown his works in many galleries around the world including York, England; Keene, New Hampshire; Boston, New York, and in Wardsboro.
His works are inspired by the landscape of Vermont and of the human form. There are many layers and facets in both the drawing and the sculpture. The electronic media is comprised of graphic design, photography, video, and sound recording. Recent projects include graphic designs for Vermont Skateboards and photography while travelling to China with the Journey East program at Leland and Gray.
Vermont has always been a home for Burke. He began to visit his grandparents in South Wardsboro when he was little. As the years went by, the Vermont lifestyle became a part of him, from making maple syrup to logging and cutting firewood. Even after traveling the world, this area has kept a hold on him, and this is reflected in his work, all according to a library press release.

His work can also be seen at the Wardsboro Library at 170 Main Street in Wardsboro during library hours: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday and Thursday; 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
