NEWPORT — The New Hampshire State Council on the Arts will be holding regional one-hour workshops focused on teaching applicants how to complete competitive applications for several of the council’s grant programs. The workshops are free.
The workshops will address who is eligible to apply, what types of projects are funded, how to use the online grant system, steps in the application process and how applications are evaluated. A workshop will be held from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at the Library Arts Center in Newport.
Fiscal year 2019 grant categories include: arts in health projects, artist residencies in schools for arts learning, general project grants for community engagement, traditional arts apprenticeships, and youth arts projects for creative youth development.
Workshops are scheduled are also scheduled for:
— Rochester Performance and Arts Center, Tuesday, Feb. 20, 1 to 2 p.m.
— The Currier Museum (Manchester) Thursday, Feb. 22, 1 to 2 p.m.
— North Conway Music Center, Tuesday, Feb. 27, 12:30-1:30 p.m.
