Needle-felters can craft a Snowy Owl

SPRINGFIELD — Snowy owls are rare visitors to Vermont. All are welcome to join Sue Carey from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 at Gallery at the VAULT to create their own needle-felted 6- to 8-inch snowy owl.

Participants can use felting needles to make the body and wet felting techniques to create the wings and tail. It is an opportunity to learn various techniques. Suitable for beginning and intermediate students. Bring needle-nose pliers, sharp scissors and an old towel; all other materials will be provided. Cost is $35 members and $40 non-members; $25 materials fee.
