Melted snow replenished

Last week was one of those blah winter periods with some sunshine, a bit of wind, a small amount of rain and no snow, until the very end of the week.

Overnight Saturday the area received 4-5 inches of snow to make up for some of the snow that melted during the earlier part of the week. Mount Sunapee Resort was blessed with 6 inches of fresh powder.

The weather forecast for the Sullivan County area called for 1-3 inches of snow from the latest storm but that all changed when the front moved about 50 miles more to the north than originally projected.

Most folks who keep their eye on daily weather forecasts probably can’t wait until Wednesday and Thursday when the prediction calls for record high temperatures of 60 and 66 degrees. Now that’s something to really chat about with winter still hanging around for a few more weeks.
