The Bellows Falls boys played Poultney Monday at home and lost 47-36. “It was a hard fought game for both sides but Poultney made the shots when it counted,” said head coach Ryan Stoodley. The first half was a even match, both teams played great offense and after one quarter it was 17-14 Poultney. The second quarter was a little bit of the same for both teams and Bellows Falls finished strong at the end of the quarter to cut the lead to just one at half, 26-25.
The second half was was totally different as defense won the half for Poultney. It held Bellows Falls to 2 points in the 3 rd quarter and Bellows Falls were able to hold them to eight. It proved to be enough for Poultney as Bellows Falls got open looks all night and just couldn’t get the ball in the hoop. “Everyone played their part in the game but just couldn’t get the ball to go in the hoop when it needed it to,” added Stoodley. Bellows Falls is now 7-11 and play Twin Valley Tuesday night at home with tip off scheduled for 7 pm which is Bellows Falls senior night.
