AUGUSTA, Maine — Ann E. Reed, 66, died on Feb. 24, 2018 at her home in Augusta, Maine.
She was born on March 23, 1951 in Claremont, N.H., to the late Paul and Inez (Puffer) Cheney.
Ann grew up in Newport, N.H., graduating from Newport High School with the class of 1969. She worked as an elementary school teacher’s aide in St. Johnsbury, Vt., for many years. She enjoyed arts and crafts, music, and reading.
Ann was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who thought the world of her grandchildren. She had been living in Augusta for the past 22 years.
Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dennis, in 2014 after 44 years of marriage.
Surviving family members include her son, Scott Reed and his wife, Lori, of Glen Allen, Va.; grandchildren, Jackson and Alexander Reed, and extended family members.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ann’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main St., Newport, N.H. Burial will be with her family in St. Patrick Cemetery in the Spring.
