Congregate meal menus for March

NEWPORT — The congregate meal menus served at the Newport Senior Center and Earl Bourdon Centre in Claremont for the remainder of March follow:

8—Fish chowder, tuna fish sandwich with lettuce and tomato, orange mousse with sauce.

9—Ham steak with raisin sauce, mashed potato with skins, spinach, mint chocolate cup.

12—Hamburger, onion rings, mixed vegetables, rice pudding.

13—Veal patty with mushroom sauce, harvest rice pilaf, summer squash, fresh fruit.

14—Beans and hot dogs, Cole Slaw, cookies.

15—Chef’s salad, dinner roll, peach-apricot cobbler.

16—Fish sticks, French fries, beets, chef’s choice dessert.

19—Sweet & sour pork over rice, peas, brownies.

20—Meatloaf, baked sweet potato, zucchini and tomato, Jello-O magic mousse.

21—Macaroni and cheese, chef-style tomatoes, homemade apricot cream cake.

22—Homemade broccoli cheddar soup, BLT sandwich, fresh fruit.

23—Baked Parmesan haddock, roasted red potato, honey-glazed carrots, raspberry strudelnik.

26—Stuffed peppers, boiled red potato, cauliflower, Boston cream pie.

27—Boneless Parmesan crusted pork chop, asparagus cuts, au gratin potato, fresh fruit.

28—Chef’s choice.

29—Chicken cacciatore, salad, apple crisp.

30—Salisbury steak, potato, zesty roasted vegetables, strawberry shortcake.

Suggested donation for seniors 60 and over, $2; under 60, assisting a senior with lunch, $3.50. Meals served promptly at 11:45 a.m.
