CLAREMONT — The public is invited to the opening of the #KindnessInAction student art exhibit at Amplified Arts, located on the second floor at 31 Pleasant St. in Claremont, on Thursday, March 15, from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Guests may also tour the Amplified Arts space. Refreshments will be served, the opening and exhibit are free of charge.
In celebration of Art in Schools Month, Amplified Arts and TLC Family Resource Center’s Rural Outright program have joined together to present the multimedia exhibit featuring pieces created by local students in grades K-12. Artworks include an interactive mural, poetry, drawings, photographs and paintings.
“We are deliberately juxtaposing students’ interpretation of ‘Kindness In Action’ with our upcoming production of ‘The Laramie Project’,” explains Shelly Hudson, Founding Producing Artistic Director at Amplified Arts. “We want to be sure audience members are moved by the gravity of the play, but also imbued with hope for the future.”
The exhibit will be open Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
