‘Mutually Assured Destruction’

CLAREMONT — The 2018 Stevens High School Class Play, “Mutually Assured Destruction,” will be performed along with a dinner served at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 29 and Friday, March 30; at 1 p.m. (with lunch) Saturday, March 31 and at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 31 at the Teal Lantern at the Sugar River Technical Center, 111 South St., in Claremont. The cost is $15 and benefits the Class of 2018. 

‘Jesus Christ Superstar’

BELLOWS FALLS — Main Street Arts presents “Jesus Christ Superstar,” at the Bellows Falls Opera House. The rock opera, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, was called “one of the 10 best musicals of all time” by Rolling Stone magazine. It has continued to wow audiences for 40 years as it tells the story of the last four days of the life of Jesus through the eyes of Judas Iscariot. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 29 and Friday, March 30, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 31, also at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 5 and Friday, April 6 and at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 7. Music at the Taverne

CLAREMONT — Live music will be held Thursday, March 29 and Friday, March 30 at the Taverne on the Square, 2 Pleasant St., in Claremont. For reservations, call (603) 287-4416. The duo of Bob & Shane will perform from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday. The duo performs familiar songs featuring a vocal blend and hot guitar licks. Country singer and local favorite Ben Fuller performs from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday.

Poetry Open Mic 

BELLOWS FALLS — The Rockingham Library is hosting a Poetry Open Mic at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 3. Read an original poetry or a favorite poem by another poet. All ages are welcome to participate. Or be a part of the audience to support these brave souls. Readers should come prepared to read up to five poems. To begin, each person will read one poem. Depending on the number of participants, a second, third, fourth and even fifth round of reading will follow. This event is free and open to the public. Kashmir performs Led Zeppelin

CLAREMONT — From Fly on the Wall Concerts, Kashmir — the nation’s #1 Led Zeppelin tribute show, it is the most authentic representation of Led Zeppelin on the modern national touring scene. The show is at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 21 at the Claremont Opera House. Tickets, priced from $37.50 to $22.50 and will include a charge of $6 for handling and processing, can be purchased at www.claremontoperahouse.org, by phone at (603) 542-4433 or in person at Claremont Opera House Box office at the city hall complex at 58 Opera House Square. Cash bar available from Sweetfire BBQ before the show and at intermission.
