NEWPORT — The Newport Farmers Market is accepting vendor applications for the 2018 season. The season will run every Friday from 3 to 6 p.m., rain or shine from May 18 to Oct. 5.

The market is seeking agricultural, prepared food and artisan vendors. Electricity is available at the location on the Newport Common. Full time vendor cost is $135 ($140 via credit card) for the 2-week season. Part-time vendor’s fees are $25 per week.
Every week the Market offers concerts on the gazebo by local musicians and train rides for kids. Story Time on the green at 4 p.m. is sponsored by Richards Free Library.
The Newport Market offers the EBT matching program (Veggie Dollars) sponsored by the Newport Farmers Market and accepts Credit and Debit cards with no processing fee.
The Market also facilitates eight weeks of the POP Club (Power of Purchase) that introduces kids to fruits and vegetables through games and activities. Participants receive free POP Bucks for purchasing their own delicious and seasonal produce.
