ROCKINGHAM — A 34-year-old Rockingham woman has been arrested and charged with first-degree aggravated domestic assault and reckless endangerment.
At 11:57 p.m. on Wednesday, Vermont State Police responded to a call about of an active family fight at a home on Mis for a report.
Police say Jillian N. Taylor and another member of the household were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation.
The fight escalated when Taylor allegedly grabbed a loaded rifle and struck the other household member in face multiple times.
During the assault, Taylor allegedly pointed the loaded rifle at the other household member.
She was arrested and taken to the Westminster Barracks for processing. Taylor was issued a criminal citation, conditions of release and is scheduled to appear at 12:30 p.m. today in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division.
