BETHEL, Vt. — Ronald K. Baker Jr., 65, of Bethel, Vermont, died early Saturday morning, March 31, 2018, at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph.
He was born May 11, 1952, in Cambridge, New York, the son of Ronald K. Baker Sr. and Marion Lilley Baker. He was raised in Springfield, Vermont and graduated from Springfield High School. He was married to Carri M. Stewart on March 18, 1978, in North Springfield, and lived in Springfield until 1985. They then moved to Weathersfield, where they lived until 2005, settling in Bethel in 2007. Ronald had worked for Bryant Grinder Company in Springfield, Fresenius in Lebanon, New Hampshire and GW Plastics in Bethel, and was a lieutenant at Springfield Fire Department. He enjoyed hiking, camping, reading and riding motorcycles.
Survivors include his wife, Carri M. Baker of Bethel; daughters Emily Frappier and son-in-law Andrew of Berkshire, Vermont, and Dori Baker and son-in-law David Boucher of Winooski, Vermont; brother Bruce Baker of Bellows Falls; sister Karen Baker Beardsley of Springfield; grandchildren Irene and Maxwell Frappier of Berkshire. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Kim.
