Not a lot going on during the past week weatherwise. With some sunshine and warmer daytime temperatures the snow on the ground took a major hit, however. It won’t be too long before it’s time to get the lawn mowers into action.
As usual dirt roads have a mud flavor, some more serious than others. Chandler’s Mill Road in Newport has been closed to thru traffic for some time, a usual spring tradition.
Supermarket parking lots were filled with vehicles as shoppers got out in full force to stock up for traditional Easter Sunday dinners.
Easter Sunday breezed in on the chilly side, especially early in the day, helped along by a cool spring wind. The sun finally broke through during the afternoon.
