NEWPORT — After 22 years on the job, Atty. Howard Dunn will be stepping down as Moderator for the Town of Newport.
Dunn will conclude his duties as Moderator at the May 8th Newport Town Meeting. He did not seek re-election.
At the conclusion of Tuesday’s Deliberative session in the Newport Opera House, voters attending gave Dunn a long, standing ovation for his work.
“It’s been a great honor for me to be here. Thank you for your support,” he responded.
