The New Hampshire Corporators of Eastern States Exposition, in West Springfield, Mass., are offering a $1,500 scholarship to current New Hampshire high school seniors who have been accepted to a school or college in fall of 2018.
Seniors who have participated in the exposition’s youth programs including agricultural events and/or those in Storrowton Village Museum will be considered, and selection will also be based on career goals and financial need.
Applicants must complete the official scholarship application form online at www.easternstatesexposition.com/scholarships or obtain an application from any New Hampshire Big E corporator.
In addition, a copy of the applicant’s current high school transcript and a letter of recommendation from a youth activity advisor or leader are required and may be mailed with the application to the chairman of the New Hampshire Big E Scholarship committee, Daniel Bascom, at 123 Franklin St., Rochester, NH 03867 or [email protected].
The deadline for applications is May 31, 2018. The Big E Corporators Scholarship committee will review the applications and a decision will be made by July 1, 2018.
Only applications that are fully completed and submitted with supplemental information will be considered. Candidates may be required to attend interviews.
The New Hampshire Corporators Scholarship Committee has awarded over $162,000 to FFA and 4-H youth from the Granite State since the program began in 1979.
