Wellness Connection Conference May 19 in N.L. to deal with stress

NEW LONDON — Got Stress? Learn, Laugh and Let Go, the 2nd Annual Wellness Connection Conference, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon on May 19 at the Ware Student Center, Colby-Sawyer College.

The session will feature keynote presenter Robert Rivest, internationally admired performer and teacher of health, literacy, stress relief, mindfulness and laughter yoga.

This informative and interactive conference is designed for people who are looking to learn more about stress and techniques to reduce it in their lives. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in three breakout sessions.

Mindfulness—Rivest will lead you through mindfulness exercises and stress relief techniques that will help you relax, focus, concentrate and interact, mindfully.

Stress Management—Join Ashley Warner, MD for a discussion on the importance of recognizing your stress cues and utilizing stress reduction techniques.

Stress Free, Healthy, Affordable Cooking—Are you looking to take the stress out of your meal planning and cooking? Robin Peters from the UNH Cooperative Extension will teach you how to make meals that are healthy and affordable.

Wellness Connection Partners, New London Hospital and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Partners for Community Wellness, will host this event.
