Police seek help in possible fraud suspect

Staff report
SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — Police are asking the public to help identify a female possibly involved in a fraud case.

A home on Connecticut River Road in Springfield was broken into April 10 and two credit cards were taken from the house while the owners were at church Sunday morning, said Springfield Police Chief Doug Johnston.

“It looks like these credit cards were used in Charlestown, N.H., Keene, N.H., and Hinsdale, N.H.,” he said.

Johnston wasn’t sure how much money had been charged. He said the bank had been notified.

The case was still under investigation as of Tuesday.
