NEWPORT — Enjoy dinner on April 25 at Newport’s Salt hill Pub and 10 percent of the proceeds will go to the Steppin’ Up to End Violence Walk and Fun Run, the signature event of Turning Points Network.
TPN, with offices in Newport and Claremont, is a wraparound support center for survivors of domestic and sexual abuse with a trained and experienced staff that partners with survivors to meet specific healing and crisis needs.
Services are free to all who need them, for as long as they need them, and cover all of Sullivan County. TPN also brings violence-prevention education programs to Sullivan County schools with messaging on anti-bullying, healthy dating relationships, respect and conflict resolution.
Turning Points Network provides our local community with a 16-bed emergency shelter, 24-hour crisis and information hotline and a wide range of supports for survivors that include court advocacy, peer counseling and economic independence.
“We have supported this effort for the last four years and we are proud to be part of TPN’s very important work,” said Joe Tuohy, owner of Newport’s Salt hill Pub.
