During the early evening hours of Friday, April 20, troopers from the Westminster Barracks conducted a saturation patrol on Interstate 91 and Vermont Route 103 in Windsor County. The focus of the patrol was to identify and deter aggressive driving while enforcing motor vehicle laws and promoting safe driving on Vermont roadways.
During the patrol, troopers initiated 23 traffic stops, while issuing 13 VCVCs (traffic tickets) and 24 written warnings for various motor vehicle violations. One consent search was conducted during the patrol which resulted in the seizure of contraband.
The Vermont State Police would like to remind all motorists to consider utilizing a designated driver or seek alternative transportation when planning to consume alcohol.
