There wasn’t much positive to say about the past weather week until Saturday and Sunday when it warmed up for a change. While the morning lows didn’t move much, the afternoon highs on Saturday and Sunday turned out to be a pleasant welcome.
The snow bankings and piles of plowed snow continued their melting process, which was encouraging following the rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow on April 16 and 17. It was nice to see folks out walking and doing yard chores for a change.
The Farmer’s Almanac predicted isolated showers from time to time along with some breezy days. And there were plenty of them. The Almanac is projecting near norman temperatures and precipitation near normal for May with isolated showers and thunderstorm at any time and gusty periods.
