The Governor’s Advisory Council on Diversity and Inclusion hosts forum in Claremont

CLAREMONT — The State of New Hampshire Governor’s Advisory Council on Diversity and Inclusion will hold a community forum from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 3, in Claremont, as part of a series of community events across the state to hear suggestions from residents on how to advance diversity efforts in New Hampshire. The event will be held in the Falcon Room at River Valley Community College.

In December 2017, Governor Christopher T. Sununu issued a proclamation establishing the Governor’s Advisory Council on Diversity and Inclusion. The Council’s charge is to work collaboratively with stakeholders, including the public, and make recommendations to combat discrimination and advance diversity and inclusion in the state.

The council will host additional sessions in the coming months in Nashua, Manchester, Concord, the Lakes Region, Monadnock Region and the North Country, and will also visit institutions of higher education, including Keene State College, Plymouth State University, Southern New Hampshire University, St. Anselm College and Dartmouth College.
