TPN WALK, FUN RUN

The 12th Annual Steppin’ Up To End Violence 5k Walk & Fun Run, benefits Turning Points Network (TPN) and its mission of Preventing Violence, Promoting Respect, Strengthening Lives. Steppin’ Up begins and ends at the Claremont Middle School. Sign-in for all participants begins at 8:30 a.m., rally at 9:45 a.m., walk/run begins at 10 a.m.. Doors open at 2:30 p.m., performance starts at 3 p.m. for ages 3 and up with accompanying adult at Claremont Savings Bank Community Center, 152 South St. Hand-crafted mouth and rod puppets tell the story of 8-year-old Lucy and her goofy pal Little Chucky They are searching for buried treasure but a gang of bumbling pirates keeps getting in the way. The kids get some help from their new friends including enthusiastic superhero Lobster Boy and his reluctant sidekick Crabby and an overgrown sea monkey. Will they find their buried treasure? Will the pirates foil their plans?
