Teen-parent connection series starts on May 16

SUNAPEE — Parent involvement is critical in reducing or preventing adolescent participation in high-risk behaviors.

But how do parents influence their children positively during adolescence – a time of increased independence and time spent with peers?

Staying Connected with Your Teen is a five-part workshop series designed to enhance communication skills and family management practices, leading to a decrease in conflict and increase in bonds between parents/caregivers and teens.

Parents/caregivers learn tools to listen more so that their teen talks more, to involve their teen more at home, and to help teens develop healthy behaviors.

Join us for this interactive, skill building workshop series, complete with dinner and great conversation! Wednesdays, May 16, 23, 30, June 6 and 13 Join us at 5:30 p.m. for dinner. Class starts promptly at 6 p.m. at the Abbott Library, 11 Soonipi Circle, Sunapee.
