Vermont State Police conduct saturation patrol

WINDHAM and WINDSOR COUNTIES, Vt. — During the evening hours of May 1, Vermont State Police troopers from the Westminster barracks conducted saturation patrols throughout Windham and Windsor counties.

The purpose of the saturation patrols was to focus on speed enforcement, distracted driving, and the detection and apprehension of alcohol- and drug-impaired operators.

During the detail, troopers conducted 27 traffic stops, issuing several tickets and warnings, all according to a press release from the Vermont Department of Public Safety.

The Vermont State Police would like to remind all motorists to avoid operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and to always utilize a sober driver.
