WINDSOR, Vt. — A student athlete from Windsor is among 10 who will receive a $400 scholarship to help with college expenses. Coaches nominated the the student athletes, and the Vermont Basketball Coaches’ Association scholarship committee selected the best candidates.
Students awarded scholarships included Ben Meagher of Windsor, KoLeigh Vachereau of Burlington, Keegan Dunbar of Middlebury, Grace Smith of Arlington, Eleanor Devereau of Mt. Mansfield, Katheryn Berger of Arlington, Jamie Keel of Arlington, Nathan Poulin of Williamstown, Justin Joyal of Lyndon Institute, and Devyn Beliveau-Gale of Mt. Mansfield.
The organization raises money for scholarships at its Golf Scramble. The date of the 2018 scramble will be Sunday, Sept. 30 at the Windsor Country Club.
Each of the students’ coaches will make the presentations at their school’s end of the year award presentation.
Over the years, the Vermont Basketball Coaches’ Association has awarded more than $115,000 to deserving student athletes, according to VBCA Executive Director Dave Fredrickson.
