SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — All are welcome to the Springfield Town Library at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 17 for the next meeting of the Library Challenge Book Group. The group’s challenge this month is to read a book that takes place in another country or one that participants own, but have never read.
The library has many wonderful fiction and non-fiction books set in other countries, and has new books sections. Books to try include “The First Tour De France by Peter Cossins,” “Berlin 1936” by Oliver Hilmes or “Himalaya Bound” by Michael Benanav from the new non-fiction books, or new fiction by Alexander McCall Smith, Jacqueline Winspear, Luis Alberto Urrea, Moriel Rothman-Zecher among others from new fiction books.
Stop by the library to choose from the display or read one already owned. Pick up a library calendar or a list of the challenges, then join the staff for a lively discussion.
The book group is free and open to the public. To sign up, or for more information, contact the library at (802) 885-3108 or [email protected].
