ROCKINGHAM, Vt. — Vermont State Police say two men were arrested on Route 5 in Rockingham on Friday morning on drug trafficking charges.
Clarence Arrington, 34, of Rutland, was arrested for trafficking heroin, possession of heroin, transportation of heroin into Vermont and trafficking cocaine.
Reshat Hasankolli, 58, of Waterbury, Connecticut, was arrested for trafficking cocaine.
At 1:01 a.m., VSP conducted a traffic stop for a speeding violation. During a consensual search of the car, troopers located approximately five grams of heroin on Arrington as well as a civil amount of marijuana. Troopers also located approximately nine ounces of crack and powder cocaine in the engine compartment of the car.
Both Hasankolli and Arrington were arrested, processed transported to and lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility for lack of bail. The two were due in court Friday.
