WEATHERSFIELD, Vt. — A New Hampshire woman has been charged with negligent operation and driving while under the influence after Vermont State Police found her car going the wrong way on Interstate 91.
A member of the Vermont State Police received a complaint of a “wrong way driver” at approximately 2 a.m. Saturday, May 19 on Interstate 91 in the town of Weathersfield. Upon arrival to the area, police observed a blue 2006 Toyota Prius off of the southbound side of the interstate by the Exit 8 on-ramp. The vehicle was being operated by Isabella Stein, 20, of Lyme, New Hampshire, all according to a VSP press release.
After an investigation, Stein was arrest on suspicion of DUI and negligent operation. Stein was transported to the Windsor Police Department for processing and released on citation.
She is scheduled to appear in court on May 29 in Windsor.
