Saturation Patrol nets one arrest, several citations

WINDHAM COUNTY, Vt. — During the evening hours of May 23, Vermont State Police troopers from the Westminster Barracks a conducted saturation patrol throughout Windham County. The purpose of the saturation patrols was to focus on speed enforcement, distracted driving and the detection and apprehension of alcohol/drug impaired operators.

During the detail, troopers conducted 18 traffic stops. One operator was arrested for driving with a suspended license and outstanding warrants. Troopers issued eight Vermont Civil Violation Complaints (VCVCs) and 14 written warnings.

The Vermont State Police would like to remind all motorists to avoid operating under the influence of alcohol/drugs and to always utilize a sober driver.
