SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — The 19th annual Lynch-Menard-Podgurski Make-A-Wish Golf Classic and Auction will be held on Saturday, July 14. Last year, this event raised $17,500 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Vermont, which brings the total contribution over the past eighteen years to $284,000, according to a press release.
Hole sponsors for the golf tournament portion of the event to be held at the Crown Point Country Club in Springfield are still being accepted. Donations for the auction will be accepted until Friday July, 13. Sign-ups for golf foursomes will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis starting at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 10 at the American Legion Post 37 on Rockingham Street in Bellows Falls, Vermont, or by contacting Mike Shaughnessy at (802) 380-0443.
An auction will be held at the American Legion Post 37 on Rockingham Street in Bellows Falls beginning at 3 p.m. Event organizers are once again expecting close to 100 items to be available during the auction portion of the event. Tickets for the auction can be purchased at the American Legion from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 13, or on Saturday before the auction starts. All proceeds will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Vermont.

Make-A-Wish Foundation of Vermont is a nonprofit organization funded by donations from individuals, corporations, small businesses and special events in order to grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The Vermont Chapter has granted 827 wishes in this its 29-year history. This year, the chapter is projecting to reach 35-37 wishes total in 2018.
