Weather Watch

Weekend rain in the air

A warning from the weatherman back on Saturday, May 19, did not come with good news.

Oh, there were a couple of positives with the negative info spliced in between the two. The weather was perfect on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday before taking a turn for the worse for the three-day weekend starting Saturday, May 26 when a cold front moved in from north to south in New Hampshire.

Late in the afternoon on Saturday the high temperature recorded in Lebanon stood at 71 while at the same time Manchester was at 86 and Nashua 87.

On Sunday the sun stayed away, there was a threat of rain all day and the temperature never got higher than 60. While it warmed up again on Monday, Memorial Day, potential showers were possible. However, those showers arrived around 6 a.m. on Monday and then moved on allowing Memorial Day exercises to go on as planned.
