NEW LONDON — Kearsarge Regional School District Superintendent Winfried Feneberg has announced that Andrea Costanzo will serve as the new assistant principal for Kearsarge Regional Middle School. She will step into her new role on July 1.

“Andrea has a number of leadership qualities and experience that we think will be greatly beneficial to Kearsarge Regional Middle School,” Feneberg said in a press release. “We’re excited to have her join the district, and look forward to her guidance and expertise next school year.”

Prior to joining the district, Costanzo worked as an English teacher at Franklin High School, a position she’s held since 2013. For the last two years she’s also served as the department head.

After graduating from the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor’s degree in English teaching, Costanzo got her start in education as a behavioral therapist at Beacon ABA Services, where she worked with children with autism from 2010-2012.

She then began substitute teaching at Merrimack Valley High School, working primarily in the English department.

Costanzo also holds a master’s degree in education with a concentration in secondary English language arts from the University of Massachusetts Boston. She is currently enrolled in a doctorate program for educational leadership at New England College.
