CHARLESTOWN — Donna L. Small, 76, of Douglas Street in Charlestown, New Hampshire died Saturday night, June 2, 2018 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born on Jan. 26, 1942 in Hartford, Connecticut, the daughter of Stanley F. Patch Sr. and Marie E. (Monty) McLellan.
She attended school in Bellows Falls, Vermont and graduated in the class of 1960. In January of 1961, Donna entered the School of Practical Nursing at Mary Hitchcock Hospital in Hanover, New Hampshire. She graduated in January of 1962. She later engaged in several small businesses with her husband, and became an Executive Housekeeper at the Ascutney Mountain Resort in Brownsville, Vermont.
She is survived by her husband, Larry J. Small of Charlestown; daughters, Jennifer L. Small and wife, Mirna Najera of Cape Coral, Florida, Kimberly A. Kelly and husband, Jason of Charlestown, and Melissa H. Clark and husband, Robert of Bedford, New Hampshire; her greatest love was for her nine grandchildren; a brother, Stanley J. Patch Jr. and wife, Marianne of Castleton, Vermont; and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father, Stanley and stepmother, Helen M. Cudo and her mother, Marie.
Visiting hours will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, June 7 at the Charlestown Memorial Chapel in Charlestown. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. with Rev. Joe officiating. Burial will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center at DHMC in Lebanon, New Hampshire, Shriner’s Hospital for Children or St. Jude’s Hospital.
