WINDSOR, Vt. – With the MAH Classic now less than two weeks away, Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) in Windsor, Vermont and Ottauquechee Health Center (OHC) in Woodstock, Vermont are pleased to announce a new feature of their 2018 MAH Classic Auction. With a terrific lineup of items available, the auction this year is on line and now open for bidding.
There are still a few openings for players for the tournament, scheduled for June 18 at the Woodstock Country Club, one of the world’s top 100 golf resorts as cited by Golf Magazine. Proceeds from the event will benefit clinical programs for patients in the Windsor/Woodstock region. Visit vtgolf.org to register to play, sponsor the event or view and bid on auction items.
Thirty-five years after the first “Chick Miller Memorial Tournament” in 1983, the MAH Classic is the largest fundraising event on behalf of MAHHC and OHC patients. The event will begin with registration and a barbeque lunch from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., followed by a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.. In addition to a day of golf with prizes for team and individual low score, closest to the pin, longest drive, and more, the MAH Classic will once again feature a silent auction with items and services donated by businesses and individuals. A cocktail reception and awards ceremony will follow tournament play.
Players may register in advance online at VTgolf.org, for an entry fee of $195 per person. Players may request an invoice or pay by credit card by calling (802) 674-7088 or via email at [email protected]. The deadline for entry is June 12.
“Getting out on the course is a highlight of the year for Mt. Ascutney Hospital, Ottauquechee Health Center, and those who participate,” said MAHHC Tournament Coordinator Stephanie Soles, “because it’s always enormous fun.”
Director of Development Charles Clement added, “It’s gratifying to see how many people stand up in support of high-quality health care right here in our communities. The MAH Classic is our great annual fundraiser, a fantastic way to celebrate what we do, and helps us realize our mission for years to come.”
The MAH Classic offers numerous sponsorship opportunities with tier-based promotional benefits. Sponsors will receive recognition in the event program and in pre-tournament publicity, including mention on the radio stations of Media Sponsor Great Eastern Radio.
Those interested in sponsorship opportunities or in donating a prize to the MAH Classic Auction are asked to call (802) 674-7088 or to email the tournament coordinator at [email protected].
