LEBANON — WPTZ, the Hearst owned NBC affiliate in Plattsburgh, New York and Burlington, Vermont, announced plans on Tuesday to relocate from its current space in Colchester to a new location in South Burlington as well as open a new bureau in Lebanon, New Hampshire.
As part of this plan, WPTZ/WNNE will maintain its longstanding presence in Plattsburgh, according to a press release.
“We are doing more than we have ever done before to inform and entertain our entire community. The South Burlington and Lebanon facilities allow us the space we need as we continue to serve all parts of the region,” said WPTZ/WNNE President and General Manager Justin Antoniotti.
The South Burlington space in Technology Park will be completed by Spring 2019.
Once the facility is complete, NBC5 will move out of its Colchester office on Roosevelt Highway.
“We are thrilled to be able to serve our viewers and advertisers for years to come. With locations in New York, Vermont and New Hampshire we will continue cover all corners of our market,” added Antoniotti.
ReArch Company, Inc. will be working collaboratively with NBC5 to design, build, as well as maintain the space within 30 Community Drive.
“Technology Park is delighted to welcome NBC5 as its newest tenancy partner and looks forward to a collaborative relationship over many years,” said Stephen Savell, ReArch Company, Inc. vice president of development.
NBC5 will be built inside 30 Community Drive, which is the same building which currently houses the Ben and Jerry’s Executive Offices.
