CAVENDISH, Vt. — The town of Cavendish will present its annual summer music series for 2018 on Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m. on the Proctorsville Green.
The lineup begins on July 11 with a newcomer to the series, the Davis Brothers’ Garage Band, sponsored by DG Bodyworks, followed on July 18 when Neal’s Restaurant presents The Gully Boys, who were scheduled to play last summer, but never made it to the stage due to rain.
On July 25, Rick Redington and the Luv return, presented by The Pointe at Castle Hill, followed on Aug. 1 by Yankee Chank, sponsored by Murdock’s Restaurant.
On Aug. 8, Jason Cann plays for the first time in Proctorsville and will be sponsored by Okemo Mountain Resort. The series finishes on Aug. 15 with the return of Sensible Shoes, funded by Outer Limits Brewery.
The Cavendish Community and Conservation Association will again coordinate the series. All concerts are free and open to the public; all are welcome to grab a lawn chair, a picnic and a cold drink, and join friends and neighbors to enjoy plenty of rollicking good music from the gazebo. Goodman’s American Pie has promised to bring the pizza wagon, so bring an appetite too.
The summer concert series has a long history in Proctorsville and many area residents reserve Wednesday evenings to listen to the live music. As always, the concerts will be held unless severe weather threatens. In case of rain, alternative plans will be announced on the Cavendish Facebook page. Anyone who would like to help can call Robin at (802) 226-7736 to volunteer or for more information on the concerts.
