Conservation Department will hold garden plant sale

UNITY — The Sullivan County Conservation Department will hold a plant sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 23 at the Community Garden in Unity.

The SCCD Community Garden is selling plugs of all the extra plants that volunteered in the path and garden plots. All funds will go towards garden projects. They currently have dill, mammoth sunflowers, verbena, Johnny jump ups (small pansies), calendula, mountain mint, and golden alexanders ready to sell. All have been grown in full sun.

Plugs will be $1 per plant or best offer. Payment can be made by cash or check only. Checks can be made out to “SCCD.”

All are welcome to also enjoy a walk around the garden or join the Naturalist Series: Salamander program meeting at the garden from 10 am to noon Saturday.

The SCCD Community Garden is located on County Farm Road on the right just before the care facility. A sign is out front.
