CAVENDISH, Vt. — Once again the Cavendish Historical Society’s (CHS) Annual Plant sale will get underway on Saturday, June 30, taking place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of the Cavendish Historical Society Museum, 1958 Main St., Cavendish.
The fundraiser plant sale will include the usual perennials of hosta, and other plants, as well the CHS’s most recent tradition — patio style tomatoes. The plants will be ready to take home and enjoy. No transplanting is required.
The Historical Society will have a wide variety this year: Sweet 100s, Early Girls, Brandywine, Jetsetter, Better Boy, and Roma. Anyone interested can pre-buy tomatoes, at $10 a plant, by sending a check to Cavendish Historical Society and mailing to CHS, P.O. Box 3, Cavendish, VT 05142.
Lots of basil will also be for sale for those who want to add mozzarella and enjoy Caprese salad right into fall.
