PLAINFIELD — Have a favorite cake or cupcake recipe? Love being creative when baking cakes and cupcakes? Want to feature a special cake plate?
The Plainfield Historical Society is asking local bakers and residents to consider baking a cake or cupcakes for the 4th of July benefit Silent Cake Auction for the PHS.
Anyone who would like to participate can drop off their cake or cupcakes by 9 a.m. on July 4 (or the 3rd by special arrangement). The auction is scheduled to take place just after the parade, at 1 p.m. sharp.
Creativity and patriotic themes are encouraged.
