Lorraine St. Cyr

NEWPORT — Lorraine (Racicot) St. Cyr of Newport, New Hampshire passed away peacefully at Woodlawn Care Center on Jan. 27, 2018 after a period of declining health.

She was born in Claremont, New Hampshire on April 11, 1930 to Bernard F. and Marie (Descoteau) Racicot. Lorraine spent most of her life in Newport, graduating from Towle High School in 1948. A proud employee of “Ma Bell,” Lorraine worked at least 40 years for the phone company.

Lorraine enjoyed 49 3/4 years of marriage to Paul R. St. Cyr who predeceased her in 2001, and she was also predeceased by her beloved son, Kim B. St. Cyr just before Christmas in 2007. Lorraine also lost a sister, Alice R. Wesoja in 1988, but is survived by her two remaining sisters, Pauli Marr of Frisco, Texas, and Carol R. Lord of Newport, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. June 30 at St. Patrick Church.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Woodlawn Nursing Home for their continuous love and care of Lorraine throughout her five-year stay.
