CONCORD — The New Hampshire Department of Corrections has announced that a minimum security inmate from the North End House Transitional Housing Unit in Concord was placed on escape status. Lawrence John Eldridge, 55, failed to return to the North End Transitional Housing Unit at 3 p.m on Tuesday.
Eldridge is described as a white male, 5-foot-11-inches, 215 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He has a three quarter sleeve of tattoos on his left arm to include an hourglass, dice, and serpent. He also has a tattoo of a bird on a branch over his heart.
Eldridge is currently serving a sentence for criminal threatening, and has previous convictions for kidnapping and escape. He previously walked away from the supervision of New Hampshire Hospital in 2011. His minimum release date is currently June 5, 2019.
The New Hampshire State Police and the New Hampshire Department of Corrections Investi-gations Bureau are investigating. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact their local law enforcement agency of the New Hampshire State Prison at 603-271-1801.
