Bellows Falls Post 37 defeated Randolph Post on Thursday night, 7-1, behind solid pitching and timely hitting. Rex Hill (GMUHS) Started for Post 37, throwing five shutout innings, allowing one hit, and striking out four. Spencer Clark (BFUHS) pitched the final two innings on the bump, allowing one run.
Post 37 scored twice in the third to break the scoreless tie. McGregor Vancor had an RBI triple and Jacob Streeter had a sac fly.
BF added three more runs in the fourth inning with Jack Brown’s RBI-double that scored 2 runs and Griffin Waryas’ RBI-single added another run on the board. BF scored single unearned runs in the sixth and the seventh to wrap up their scoring on the day.
In the win, Post 37 had six different players pick up RBIs, and eight players that contributed a hit.
Post 37 will be back in action on Saturday hosting a doubleheader vs Rutland Post 31, with the first game at 4p.m. and the second game scheduled for 7 p.m.
BF improves to 6-2 while Randolph falls to 1-9 this summer.
