Domestic assault on the interstate
On June 28, the Vermont State Police investigated the complaint of a domestic assault which was reported to have occurred on Interstate 91 in the town of Westminster. Through investigation, Troopers identified Michael Wesolowski,47, of Brattleboro, Vt. as the suspect. Wesolowski was located on July 4 by officers from the Springfield Police Department. Troopers spoke with Wesolowski, took him into custody, and transported him to the Westminster barracks where he was processed for domestic assault. A Judge was contacted and ordered Wesolowski be released on conditions. Wesolowski was issued a citation to appear in Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on July 5.
DUI at the PO
On July 2, Vermont state troopers were dispatched to the Mt. Holly Post Office after a report of an intoxicated woman. During the course of the investigation, Troopers discovered that the woman had driven to the post office. Troopers identified the female as Shelia Wicham, 55, of Mt. Holly, Vermont. Wicham exhibited signs of alcohol impairment and was screened for DUI. Wicham was issued a citation to appear at Vermont Superior Court, Rutland Criminal Division on July 23.

possession of heroin
On July 3 at approximately 9 a.m. a member of the Vermont State Police conducted a motor vehicle stop near mile marker 42.6 on Interstate 91 south in the town of Springfield. During the roadside investigation it was determined that the operator, Shaina Iovanni, 24, of Gaysville, Vermont was operating a motor vehicle with a criminally suspended license. During a search incident to arrest, troopers located heroin on her person. Iovanni was arrested and transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing. Iovanni was fingerprinted, photographed, and issued a citation to appear in court at a later date.
Early morning DUI
On July 2 at approximately 6 a.m. the Vermont State Police responded to a residence on Rue Madeline Road in the town of Readsboro for a complaint. Upon investigating the complaint it was determined Anson B. Gardner, 63, of Westminster, Vermont operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Gardner was arrested and processed for the offense. Gardner was transported to the Shaftsbury State Police Field Station and later released on a criminal citation to appear in Bennington Superior Court-Criminal Division on July 23-to answer to the charge of DUI-Alcohol.
Independence Day DUI
On July 4 just after midnight, the Vermont State Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Interstate 91 north, near mile marker 53 in the town of Weathersfield, Vermont for a speeding violation. After an investigation, it was determined that the operator of the vehicle, Tracy Delillo, 56, was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and transported to the Springfield Police Department for fingerprints and photographs. He was the released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Windsor Criminal Division on July 24.
DUI at end of the holiday
On July 04 at approximately 11:30 p.m. troopers from the Rutland Barracks conducted a motor vehicle stop on Cold River Road in the town of Rutland for an observed motor vehicle violation. Troopers identified the operator of the vehicle as Alice Peterson, 42, of Ludlow. While troopers spoke with Peterson she showed signs of impairment and was subsequently screened for DUI. Peterson was ultimately taken into custody and transported to the State Police Barracks in Rutland for processing. After processing Peterson was released with a citation to appear at Rutland Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date and time.
