Claremont’s Ronald Whittemore earned three gold medals at the Senior Olympic qualifying track and field meet in Burlington, Vermont. He earned first place in the Long Jump, Triple Jump, and 100m Dash for his age group (80-84).
Whittemore has qualified and attended every National Senior Games since 1995. In 2013, at the Senior Games in Cleveland, jumped long enough to be number four in the all-time history of the Senior Games. The next Senior Olympics that he qualified for will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico in June of 2019.
