SUNAPEE — Registrations are being taken for participation in the Sunapee Sestercentennial parade scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 18. In addition to the Kearsarge Community Band, Leapin’ Lena, police and fire apparatus, antique vehicles, and youth on bikes, the Sestercentennial Committee invites town businesses, organizations, sports teams, neighborhood associations, social groups and families to register and ride, march, pedal, or have a float in the parade.
Potential participants are asked to complete a registration packet, available at www.sunapeenh250.org/blog/parade-registration-packet-available, and send it in soon.
Commemorative license plates, window decals and limited edition granite arrowheads, custom designed and crafted by Sunapee Graniteworks, are on sale on the store on the 250 website , as well as at the Sunapee Police Department, town clerk’s office and Abbott Library.
