ACWORTH — The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) has announced the planned closure of the NH Route 123A bridge over Bowers Brook in Acworth on July 14 for three weeks.
The 21-day closure is part of the project that is replacing a “Red List” bridge that was built in 1915, according to the NHDOT.
During the closure period, motorists on NH 123A will be detoured onto NH 123 and NH 10 while the old bridge is removed and a precast bridge is put in its place.
Cold River Bridges, LLC of Walpole is the contractor for the $1.23 million project, which has a final completion date of Oct. 12.
