WINDSOR, Vt. — Volunteers in the Windsor area are asked to consider giving one morning a month for neighbors in need of food or companionship.
With the recent reopening of the nonprofit Rachel’s Kitchen located at the Methodist Church in Windsor, organizers are seeking volunteers to assist from 6:45 to 9:30 a.m. with a bit of light preparation for the breakfast items.
Various tasks include making toast, coffee, cereals, oatmeal and cleanup. The kitchen is seeking volunteers that could pick up to one day a month up to as many days that would work for them, and expressed appreciation to all the community members that donated to the program in order to reopen.
The mission of Rachel’s Kitchen is an endeavor to make food available to all. Rachel’s Kitchen provides a continental breakfast to all regardless of financial ability, according to the group’s mission statement.
