CLAREMONT — Henry L. Veilleux, 76, of Rachel Place in Claremont, New Hampshire died Saturday, July 14 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Claremont on December 7, 1941 the son of Arthur V. and Doris (LaCroix) Veilleux and had been a lifetime area resident. Henry was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1960. Henry had been employed by H.P. Hood and later drove truck for Idlenot Dairy until they closed their doors. He then became employed as a salesman by LaValley’s Building Supply in Claremont and retired after 23 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, building homes, playing cards and pool.
He married his high school sweetheart Anita Serbian in 1961. Members of his family include his wife, Anita Veilleux, Claremont; two daughters, Tamara Nelson and her husband, Ron, of Claremont and Lisa Veilleux and her companion, Raymond Lemieux, of Claremont; five grandchildren, Trevor Nelson and his wife, Maureen of Colorado, Sarah Nelson of Long Beach, California, Ashley Booher and her husband, Dana, of Alexandria, Virginia, Theresa Creighton and her companion, Dylan Bladden, of Charlestown, and Brittany Creighton and her fiance, Jean, of Claremont; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, George Veilleux of Claremont and Robert Veilleux of Hooksett; four sisters, Lorraine Potvin, of Claremont, Claire Deninburg of Plattsburgh, New York, Lucille LaClair of Arkansas, Anita Hayes of Springfield, Massachusetts; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday at St. Mary’s Church with the Rev. Shawn M. Therrien, pastor, officiating. Committal will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the Roy Funeral Home, 93 Sullivan St., Claremont on Wednesday from 6 – 8 p.m. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Dr #110, Bedford, NH 03110.
