CHESTER, Vt. — Police in Chester, Vermont have charged a Springfield, Vermont man in alleged connection with stolen property, identity theft, and other charges.
An officer with the Chester Police Department, with the assistance of the Vermont State Police, conducted a traffic stop at approximately 4:46 p.m. on June 21 on a vehicle that was reported to be operating erratically. A concerned citizen had contacted police about the vehicle.
Police arrested the vehicle’s operator, Colin LaPlante, 27, of Springfield on charges of alleged Possession of a Regulated Drug, Receiving Stolen Property, Identity Theft, and Possessing a Switchblade Knife, all according to police.
LaPlante was transported to and processed at the Chester Police Department. LePlante was issued conditions of release and a citation to appear on Aug. 7 in Windsor Superior Court – Criminal Division to answer to the charges.
