Perkinsville man taken into custody on warrant, suspected possession of heroin

SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — A Perkinsville man is facing charges in court in connection with an active warrant and charges related to heroin.

Springfield Police made contact at 6:24 p.m. on July 6 with Jordan Ebelt, 26, of Perkinsville, Vermont, who was alleged to have an active arrest warrant. Upon investigation, Ebelt was taken into custody on the warrant and on suspicion of allegedly being in possession of heroin, according to the Springfield Police Department.

Ebelt was cited to appear on July 9 in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division – Windsor to answer to the arrest warrant, and subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500.00 cash or surety bail. He was also cited to appear on Sept. 4 in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division – Windsor Unit to answer to the charge of alleged possession of heroin.
